Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Strangers,

I’m reaching out today on behalf of my beloved mother, Martha Lozano, who recently underwent major emergency abdominal surgery and is currently recovering in the ICU.

What Happened:

Martha was rushed into emergency surgery this past week after experiencing serious abdominal complications. During surgery, doctors had to perform a laparotomy — a procedure where they make a large incision to open the abdomen and examine the organs inside.

They found serious internal issues and had to remove part of her colon and intestine. While she thankfully did not require a colostomy bag, they did discover a mass, and we are currently awaiting lab results to determine if it’s cancerous.

This has been a deeply emotional and uncertain time for our family.

️ What Comes Next:

Martha faces a long and delicate recovery. Doctors have told us she won’t be able to return to work for at least 3 months, and she will need ongoing medical care, follow-up visits, and support at home.

She does not have disability insurance, and her husband had to leave his out-of-state job to stay by her side and care for her full-time during this critical period.
