Hi, my name is Marta. I have a 15-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son. My son's father passed away on September 6, 2025, and since then, I have been doing my best to keep our family together. I grew up in El Salvador, where my grandmother taught me how to fend for myself, and later spent much of my childhood in foster care and shelters. Because of this, I don’t have any family to turn to for help now.
I am on disability and trying to make ends meet for my children. I have a passion for drawing and dream of turning my designs into patterns and printing them on garments. To make this dream a reality, I need to buy a fabric printer and take sewing and design classes. I hope to start school in the spring, but I will need help with childcare for my son. Not having a car makes things even more difficult, especially with a young child who needs a car seat.
I am determined to give my children a better life and make sure they never have to experience the hardships I did. If you can find it in your heart to help us, your support would mean the world to me and my children. Our future truly depends on the kindness and generosity of others. Thank you so much for your compassion and support. God bless, and may Pedro rest in peace—he would always say, 'God speed.'
