My name is Mark. This winter has been extremely challenging. It started with our cat Onyx getting sick. It literally happened overnight. We fought alongside her at the Latham Animal Hospital, but after two days and going septic, we lost our baby. This started a list of events. My furnace broke down twice. The first time was the motor for the fan; the second time was the gas valve. I had purchased a new circuit board as well for the unit. Each time the furnace went out, I had to spend several days diagnosing and fixing the furnace, as well as defrosting the pipes and fixing any leaks.
Right before the winter, I had to switch from one well to another. Thankfully, it was already dug out, but we had to replace the pump and build a small pump room to attach the hose for my RV.
Right before the last big storm, something tripped the electric and shut down some of the heat tape on my pipes. This led to over 100 gallons of water getting held in my RV's holding tanks. As it warmed up, one of the pipes broke. The water was in the underbelly of my RV. Electric lines, a small amount of water damage to the floor, and I had to repair the pipes.
Two years ago, I started my own business that I've worked on building named "Flawless Fix Home Improvement."
I'm in jeopardy of losing what I've worked hard to build and establish with all that's going on.
I've spent a lot on materials, lost weeks of work fixing and improving the issues at hand. Losing our cat was hard enough; she was my daughter. If you are an animal person, you understand.
I am back to work, and I'm fighting to not lose my RV where we live with our two other cats, Raven and Astronaut. Raven is our lovey cuddle bear who was the mother of our lost angel Onyx. Astro is our one-and-a-half-year-old boy who is full of energy and spirit.
If you know me, you may know how hard I've fought to get where I am. I am now behind on my RV and car payment. I'm struggling and have to ask if anyone would be willing to help in this time of need. This is hard to put out there, and I'm open to suggestions and also willing to trade work if possible now or this spring. If the repossession happens, I don't think I'll be able to catch up.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please reach out with any questions.
