Update - Hi All, I am truly taken aback by all of your support. Since the goal has been greatly surpassed, I have closed donations. As the project beings I will update here along with in person at masses. Thank you all again. ~ Mark
Hello!
My name is Mark Dailey. I am a high school senior who has been involved with scouting since 1st grade and is now working on the highest rank in scouting, the Eagle Scout. One rank requirement is to complete a leadership project that benefits the local community. As such, my project is constructing a set of 14 outdoor stations of the cross at St. David The King Catholic Church, where I have been a parishioner for over 7 years.
The Stations of the Cross are 14 devotional plaques depicting Christ’s journey to His crucifixion, traditionally prayed during Lent. They provide a powerful way for parishioners to reflect on Christ’s Passion, deepen their faith, and engage in a meaningful spiritual practice that fosters prayer, meditation, and community devotion.
I plan to construct 14 stations by hand-building wooden frames into which I will insert a premade metal plaque. These stations will be outdoors and line the back section of St. David’s backyard. They will not only provide a place for prayer but also a source of decoration.
Every dollar donated will solely support my project at St. David The King Roman Catholic Church, not the Boy Scouts of America. Your contributions will fund materials and necessary supplies to make the project successful.
By supporting my project, you're supporting the ministry of St. David The King to provide a source of faith, enrichment, and community gathering. Please feel free to share this project with your friends and family.
Counting on your support and donations,
