I felt the need to raise some funds for my Uncle Mark Sloan and my grandmother Grace Sloan. My grandmother lives with my Uncle Mark. He as of recently found out he has Basal Cell Carcinoma on his arm face and ear. He also has Malignant Melanoma stage 4. There was a mole on his leg that got infected and by the time it was discovered that it was Melanoma or before it could be removed, it had damaged the tissues and moved to some lymph nodes to the right of the groin area. Uncle Mark then had to have surgery on both these areas. They removed some lymph nodes and cut out the cancer on his leg which was 35mm(about a 1/2"deep) and a 2x2 area. He then had to wear a compression pump for a bit. His leg is so swollen and painful its hard for him to stand or put a shoe on. He is also scheduled next week for a skin graft on his leg where the 2x2 spot was. They have also biopsied a spot on his left leg which he is sill awaiting results. The spot on his ear they did surgery on this week was a bit over dime sized by the time they had it all removed. They are soon doing a full body scan to check everything. He is also dealing with a little heart damage that stems from an infection and stay in hospital last year . His beats go from 35-115 per minute. He has been so strong and trying to stay positive through all these weeks of back to back appointments. He said one morning he was fixing his coffee and he was putting some high hopes in it!

In this last moth also he was at an appointment and grandma was putting a little bag of stuff in the trash can which was right outside the back door and ended up falling out the door down a couple steps and hurt both feet her ankle and knee and shoulder. She was still feeling very sore so Uncle Mark to her to get it x-rayed yesterday. They have an appointment to get results and answers on her knee and x-rays next week to see whats going on. Then 2 days right before his first surgery he went out to go to work and his car wouldn't start . He had to have it towed to the shop to get it fixed . Which was close to $3000.00 they didnt have . He's had to miss a few days work because of this. He drives for his job taking the jewish children to school along with other clients. This last month and a half has been extra hard with all the appointments , and missing time off work.
