Our family is asking for help to support my mom, Marjorie Ewart, as she faces a long and difficult road to recovery after a terrible accident. Marjorie recently suffered a serious fall that resulted in a fractured orbital bone and a ruptured eyeball, resulting is full loss of vision in the right eye, as well as an extended leave from work. The extent of her injuries means that recovery will be a slow, uncertain journey filled with medical procedures, follow-up care, and rehabilitation.

While insurance will cover some of the costs, the out-of-pocket expenses are already mounting—including surgeries, hospital stays, medications, and ongoing specialist visits. My goal with this fundraiser is to ease the financial burden so that my mom can focus her energy where it belongs: on healing and adapting to whatever the future may hold.

Anyone who knows Marjorie knows her strength, warmth, and resilience. She has always shown up for others in times of need, and now it’s our turn to show up for her. Any contribution—big or small—will make a meaningful difference and bring peace of mind during an incredibly challenging time.
