Hi everyone,

I’m starting this GoFundMe for my best friend’s little sister, Marissa Portugal. A very young and incredibly loving mother to two beautiful baby boys.

If you know her, you know how devoted she is to her children. Her boys are her entire world—happy, sweet, and so deeply loved. She is the kind of mother who puts her kids first in everything she does, and seeing her family walk through this has been absolutely heartbreaking.

Following a sudden and traumatic event, Marissa is currently in the hospital receiving intensive medical care. Her family is taking things day by day, focusing on her healing while doing everything they can to make sure her boys continue to feel safe, supported, and surrounded by love.

This fundraiser is meant to help relieve some of the financial pressure that comes with an unexpected medical crisis—medical expenses, time away from work, childcare, and everyday needs—so the family can focus on what truly matters: her recovery and her children.
