Support Mario and Miguel's Legal Battle

Please help us get Mario and Miguel out of ICE detention and keep them home.

Mario and Miguel are my brothers in law. Mario has been here over 25 years and has a 3 year old son and Miguel over 15 years working hard to put his through school and still has one little girl to put through school , they are immigrants from Guatemala . They are hard working, God Fearing men who have built homes here— both as construction workers and as friends, neighbors, and as part of their faith community.

Mario and Miguel were detained by ICE on Sunday June 8, 2025 around 7am-8am while leaving their home. After hours of searching for them, we have finally located them and have talked to lawyers, who have told us that we will need at least $20,000 to open up cases and help them. My husband and I do not have that alone but want to do everything possible to help them stay here, where they belong. It is not fair what they are doing to our immigrant communities, to our hard working people.

Mario y Miguel son mis cuñados. Ellos son inmigrantes guatemaltecos. Mario lleva aquí más de 25 años y tiene un hijo de 3 años, y Miguel lleva más de 15 años trabajando duro para asegurarse que su hijo termine sus estudios y aún le queda una hija pequeña por educar. Los dos son hombres trabajadores y temerosos de Dios que han construido hogares en el sur de California, tanto como obreros de la construcción que como amigos, vecinos y miembros de su comunidad religiosa.

Mario y Miguel fueron detenidos por ICE el domingo 8 de junio de 2025, entre las 7 y las 8am, mientras salían de su casa. Tras horas de búsqueda, finalmente los localizamos y hemos hablado con varios abogados, quienes nos informaron que realisticamente necesitaremos al menos $20,000 para abrir casos y ayudarlos. Mi esposo y yo no tenemos los fondos para cubrir estos gastos pero queremos hacer todo lo posible para ayudar a Mario y Miguel a quedarse aquí, donde pertenecen.
