Help our Friend Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
A dear friend of mine named Marie had a terrible accident this Sunday. She and her son luckily walked away with their lives, but their world was turned upside down recently when a grease fire broke out in their home. What started as a small accident quickly escalated into a devastating blaze, leaving the apartment uninhabitable. While the fire caused significant destruction, the efforts to extinguish it resulted in extensive water damage throughout what remained of their home.
They are heartbroken to have lost not just their living space, but so many cherished memories and belongings. Their family is safe, which we are so grateful for, but rebuilding from this disaster is overwhelming. She is a single mom, and her son's 3rd birthday is next month. She wanted to plan something special for him but is not sure she can, as there was damage to their home and the other apartments underneath. She feels really bad and would like to correct this as it has caused an inconvenience.
Insurance will cover some of the costs, but it won’t be enough to get her back on her feet. She will need help to replace essential items, find temporary housing, and begin the long process of rebuilding her home and lives.
Your support—whether big or small—means the world to us, as we try to help her in every way possible. Every donation will help us move her closer to a sense of stability and normalcy after this tragic event. If you’re unable to contribute financially, we would deeply appreciate you sharing our story with others who might be able to help.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Taylor
