Last night, my dear friend Marissa and her family experienced a devastating house fire that changed their lives forever.

In a matter of minutes, they lost their home, their belongings, and—most heartbreakingly—ten beloved family pets. These animals were not “just pets.” They were family. They were comfort, companionship, and unconditional love. The grief of losing them so suddenly and tragically is beyond words.

While we are grateful that Marissa and her family made it out safely, the emotional and financial aftermath is overwhelming. They now facing the reality of temporary housing, replacing basic necessities, and beginning the long process of rebuilding—while also mourning an unimaginable loss.

Marissa has always been someone who shows up for others with kindness and generosity. Now, she needs our help.
