Support Maria Medina's Fight Against Stage 3 Cancer

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

My name is Lorena, and today I’m reaching out with a humble and urgent request for support on behalf of someone very dear to me—my mother, Maria Medina.

Maria has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 sarcoma cancer, one of the most aggressive and fast-moving tumor cancer. After consulting with multiple specialists, we’ve been directed to Stanford Medical Center located in Palo Alto, CA, where a specialized team has created a treatment plan that gives us hope. However, the road ahead will be incredibly difficult—not only emotionally and physically, but also financially.

Maria will need to stay near Stanford for 6 to 10 weeks to receive the full course of treatment. Unfortunately, not all costs are covered by insurance. We are responsible for temporary housing, travel, meals, and various out-of-pocket medical expenses, many of which are still unknown as we await further treatment details.

This diagnosis has changed our lives overnight—and while we are doing everything in our power to manage the burden, we simply can’t do it alone.

For those who know my mother, you know she is a woman of strength, love, and unwavering resilience. She has always been the one to give and support others. Now, we’re asking for that same love and support to be extended back to her.
