My mom has been in the hospital since Wednesday after suffering multiple strokes. She was flown to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is still on a regular med floor at this time. It’s been a long week for all of us.

We are hoping to get into a stroke rehab tomorrow. We as a family have had a lot of unexpected expenses: travel, lodging, food, airline tickets, etc. It's starting to get a little spendy. I'm not leaving the hotel connected by skywalk until she is accepted for rehab. I just got a ticket for my son to come help me out. He flies in Tuesday to give me company and assist me post my surgery. I am still operating with only one hand and arm. My sister has been side by side with me, but she has a job and has to continue.

I hate to ask for any assistance, it’s just adding up quick and still a lot of unknowns. I like being five minutes to mom’s room without having to go outside and can be there in 5 minutes. Life is just very tough right now.
