Marcos Barrera is one of my best friends, and his life changed in an instant on December 14th, 2025. That day, Marcos was involved in a devastating dirt bike accident that left him with severe injuries. He had to be airlifted to the hospital, where he underwent four major surgeries and spent nearly four weeks hospitalized. His injuries were extensive—Marcos suffered a broken femur, a shattered heel and foot, and a shattered knee, all of which required multiple plates and screws to begin the long road to recovery. Doctors have told us that Marcos will need up to six months to a year of rehabilitation before he can fully heal.

During this incredibly difficult time, Marcos and his wife are also preparing to welcome their first child, due in May. As they step into parenthood, they are facing overwhelming medical bills and ongoing rehabilitation costs, all while Marcos is unable to work. The financial burden is heavy, and I want to do everything I can to help them focus on healing and preparing for their growing family.
