Support Marcia's Mission: Vet Care for Rescued Dogs

Hi! My name is Marcia. I'm with Saving Dogs' Lives Rescue. We recently received an urgent calling to rehome up to 11 small dogs. Most are Chihuahua or Chihuahua Mixes (eg. Min Pin) & a Jack Russell, Riley. Most require vet care to ensure they're healthy, updated with vaccinations & spaying/neutering. In the month of July alone, there are up to 4-5 having spays/neuters plus vaccinations & 4 puppies getting their initial vaccinations. There were also multiple dogs requiring immediate care after contracting kennel cough. This was an unexpected shock since all are vaccinated for Bordatella. The vet care & supplies plus any other support (eg. transportation, training, dog food, medication, etc.) are an ongoing challenge, and huge financial obligation that has affected all our volunteers some of whom don't have income. I've initiated fundraisers like bake sales & most recently an " Inaugral Charity and Silent Auction Event July 20th, 2024 in Benicia, CA which was barely a success. Of course, SDL is new & we're working hard to build the necessary momentum. It is difficult keeping up with the demands of all the dogs coming into our care.
