Support Marc Haddad's Eagle Scout Project

Hi! My name is Marc Haddad and I’m a Life Scout in Troop 160 and a Junior at Lexington High School. I’m currently working on my Eagle Scout Project in order to obtain my Eagle Scout rank! This GoFundMe has been created in order to raise funds for my Eagle Scout Project. Thank you in advance for your consideration on helping me complete my project.

After careful consideration and assessment of our local needs, I have identified an opportunity to enhance the experience of visitors to the Poor Farm Trail in Lexington.

The Poor Farm Trail, with its scenic beauty and recreational opportunities, is a beloved asset to our community. However, one aspect that could be improved is the provision of clear and accessible information for visitors. Many individuals, including hikers and nature enthusiasts, frequent the trail throughout the year, yet some may find it challenging to navigate or fully appreciate its offerings without proper guidance.

To address this issue, I plan on building an informational kiosks at the Hill Street and Cedar Street access points of the Poor Farm Trail. This kiosk would serve as centralized hub where visitors can obtain vital information about the trail, including its various routes, points of interest, safety tips, and environmental conservation efforts.

By installing this kiosk, it will help with the following:

1. Enhance Visitor Experience: Providing clear and concise information

2. Improve Trail Accessibility: By offering information on different routes and access points, we hope to encourage more individuals to explore the trail and discover its natural beauty.

3. Promote Environmental Awareness: Incorporating educational materials on environmental conservation and trail etiquette can help foster a sense of responsibility and stewardship among trail users.

To bring this project to fruition, I am seeking your generous donations. I am eager to accomplish this for not only my Eagle Scout project but also for the community so they can enjoy this path as much as I do.
