GOFUNDME for Marc Voeller & his pup Freya

We are exploring employment options for Marc. At the moment, we are raising funds to keep them in Motel 6 for a few more days while we try to find a safe place for both of them to stay. Marc is in need of food and a phone. I sent an instacart order of $100 in groceries to Motel 6 for him this afternoon. If anyone has things they would like to send him or contact him about, please reach out to me! Gofundme provides a messaging platform but you can also reach me on Facebook at my business page “Queen City Paw Spa”.

12/5 UPDATE: I sent $100 in groceries and microwaveable meals over this afternoon to get Marc through the weekend.
12/4 UPDATE : The lovely Madde Fan put this sweet nugget & her dad up in Motel 6 for the weekend and Jason Upton was so very kind in purchasing a cushy bed, large bag of food, new bowl and big box of treats for sweet Freya! We have a a potential foster set for a meet & greet in a few days but please keep spreading the word! Yall are incredible! Her dad really can’t believe all of the kindnesses you are showing him & Freya. ❤ Peep the comments for a photo of Freya warming up on the hotel bed! ❤

TLDR: houseless dad in need of a safe, warm home for his pup for the winter so he can stay in the shelter and she can get out of their tent & into a warm foster home!

Full story: The other night when I was leaving OGE I heard screaming across the street. I immediately ran over thinking someone was abusing a dog. It was in fact a crying pup, but the dog was not being abused, she was screaming in pain because of how cold her feet were. I spoke with her dad who was trying to warm her feet with his hands & learned about their situation.
They are houseless at the moment, living in BTV. He can’t stay in the shelter because of her, but does not want to surrender her. It was clear to me that she was very well taken care of. She looked incredibly healthy, clearly loved her dad and seemed very sweet and happy other than being cold. Her dad had heartbreak in his eyes and I promised I would do anything I could to help. He reached out to the lovely folks @hsccvt to see if they could host her as they have a program offering temporary fostering for houseless pets for the winter months. Unfortunately, due to the housing crisis, the HSCC program was full. He was hoping to find a local foster so she can warm for the winter but would love to be able to see her sometimes and would like a contract ensuring she be returned to him. She is up to date on all shots but unspayed. I asked if he would be willing to spay her if I paid for it and he said perhaps.
About Freya: 2-3 years old, very sweet with people, high prey drive and unfortunately she was attacked earlier this year and is now dog-reactive. She would do well with dog-savvy children and would need a confident foster. If this sounds like you or someone you know, please reach out to me ASAP! In the meantime I did bring her treats, booties and paw wax but unfortunately cannot house her due to my kitties & her prey drive!
PLEASE NOTE:
Because this is such a massive and ever-growing issue that Winooski and the city of Burlington seem to be unable to address, I’m going to be starting a group/committee of sorts to try to provide resources & connect people in this situation to folks who can help. Please send a private message to me through gofundme if you’re interested in joining this group!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
