I would love to share the story of a sweet little girl who has endured more in her short 2yr life than most of us deal with in a typical life. This precious little girl has stolen our hearts. As fate would have it, Merari has been placed in the care of Mandy, one of the nurses who provided such loving care for our Owen. When it became necessary for Merari to be placed in the care of someone else, Mandy stood up and took this little girl into her home and her heart. Merari is the sweetest, sassiest babygirl! She is vent/trach dependent, paralyzed from the waist down due to Spina bifida, but she has the spirit of a warrior.

With Merari's issues, she has been in and out of the hospital a few times since Mandy took custody. Of course, this means Mandy has missed work as she refuses to leave Merari's side, giving the little girl the love and security she needs as an infant.

We are doing this GoFundMe to help Mandy. We know how she places her patients first and how she loves them like they are her own. The comfort and unconditional love she gave our Owen is not being given to Merari.

It is hard on two incomes, imagine doing with on one income. Mandy had \created a

home and a loving secure family for this little girl. She has sacrificed a lot, each hospital stay has cost Mandy shifts with other patients, shifts that Mandy relies on to pay her bills.

This selfless devotion was evident with our Owen, and we are sure he is looking on Mandy and Merari happy that she gets to experience the love and joy that he got to feel with Mandy.

Our goal is to help Mandy get caught up on missed shifts, and for the day-to-day expenses, gas for doctor's appointments in Charlotte and all other living expenses we all have. Let's pay forward the great care Qwen received and help Mandy and Merari at the same time.
