My name is Malinda Gooding. I am a nurse and a mom. I have sat beside many beds caring for many of your loved ones. I have helped other families with medical struggles in their time of need and despair.
Now, I find myself sitting beside my 22-year-old son while he battles stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. He did not want to share this with others because, in his words, he didn't want people to feel sorry for him or look at him like he was going to die. Words you never want to hear your child say. He has a heart of gold, and as many of you know, he would be the first one to arrive if you needed anything from a hug to a barn torn down. But he'll be the last one to ask anyone for anything, even myself and his dad.
We've raised an amazing man who believes if you need or want something, YOU WORK FOR IT. I'm asking for him because even though he's tried to stay working throughout his treatments, he continues to get sicker, and his body can't do what his heart and mind want to. All donations will go toward sustaining his monthly bills like rent and utilities, gas, vehicle upkeep, nutritional food he requires for his battle, and pet food and supplies for his amazing support dog, Sosha.
