Support Malawi Mission Trip for Andy Kim

Thank you for taking the time to visit my GoFundMe page. I am super excited to share that I will be going on a short-term mission trip to Malawi this summer. Despite having two boys at home, deciding to participate in this mission was not a difficult decision for Angela and me. In fact, we spent more time discussing who would get the opportunity to go this year!

Let me share a quick story with you. Our pastor at Saehan Presbyterian Church, Pastor Isaac, is a pastor's son. He told us about his father's faith journey. In the 1950s, South Korea was one of the poorest countries in the world. Every summer, American missionaries would come to his town to lead Vacation Bible School (VBS). Through the work of these missionaries, Pastor Isaac's father came to know Christ, which ultimately led his son to become our pastor.

Inspired by this story, I am eager to serve as a volunteer with the Pace Academy Foundation, an organization based in California. From July 15th to 23rd, we will be in Malawi, where I will be volunteering at a college retreat for the first few days, followed by a youth retreat for the remainder of our time there. I hope that, like the missionaries who influenced Pastor Isaac's father, my efforts can positively impact the students of Malawi.
