We are the Mutual Aid Immigration Network (more on us below.)
We need your help to raise $25,000 by January 1, 2026.
Every dollar you donate will go directly to individuals kidnapped, detained, or deported by the Trump administration and to their families left behind. We send funds to affected families as well as deposit money into the commissary accounts of people detained in ICE jails nationwide on a recurring monthly basis. We have already deposited funds into the commissary accounts of over 800 people this year alone and have helped multiple people with their asylum-related fees. The vast majority of people being detained by ICE are not recent arrivals but our friends, neighbors, and family members who have lived in the US for many years and are frequently the main breadwinners for their families. We are currently receiving a record number of requests for rental assistance, food assistance, and legal assistance.
If you're able, please make a donation. And if you are able, please make your donation recurring so we can provide sustained support to people whose lives have been irreparably harmed by the policies of this fascist & racist administration. Our understanding of family is expansive: we support chosen families, queer partnerships and lovers, and all non-traditional family structures.
Since 2017, MAIN has operated a national hotline (213-342-1143) for people detained and entangled in the for-profit immigration detention complex across the United States. When someone calls from inside an ICE facility, we provide support and guidance to help them navigate the intentionally opaque system of immigration courts and laws. Not only do we engage in direct action to support detained individuals and their families, but we continue to support folks who have been released for weeks, if not years. To that end, we fundraise for donations for commissary accounts, direct economic support for families of detained or deported individuals, and for people recently released from detention in dire need of cash.
Important: MAIN is not a nonprofit. Donations are not tax-deductible.
