I want to raise money for local and national organizations in an effort to end child poverty. This will additionally raise awareness and encourage my community to take more action on the issue of child poverty.

I’m Maggie Guillen, a high school student in the Quest pathway at Millikan, and this is my project for my senior capstone class. Since child poverty is a serious issue in my community that directly affects children’s health, education, and overall quality of life, my project will address community needs such as food insecurity and lack of access to basic resources through support of these organizations.
