My name is Magee, but I’m more commonly known as “Hey Mom!” by my 5 beautiful children. I spent the last 18 years building a family with a man that has become someone I don’t even know. After a five-year protection order was granted last September to keep me and my kids safe, he has not only continued to violate that order but also given zero support financially or even attempted to file for visitation to see them. He is “enjoying his freedom”.

I am working 4 jobs to keep things afloat and have taken him to court for contempt, but without being able to afford an attorney, I am getting no results. Living in a small town, his hometown, he manages to have no consequences for his actions. The judge knows his family; he has connections at the jail, child support office, you name it.

I am tired of living in fear. My kids have watched as things are removed from their home due to his negligence in support and my inability to keep up with payments. Even after police reports are made, he drives by the house, sits in the parking lot of the bank behind our house, and nothing is being done because there are no criminal charges against him, so I can’t even be appointed a court-ordered attorney.

All families struggle in similar situations of separation and divorce, but with two kids on the spectrum, we need stability as soon as possible. I have done all I can, and will continue to keep going…but I need help. I NEED a lawyer! Not just any lawyer at this point, I need a good one who will handle all of this and also the divorce proceedings and custody.
