Support Madison R. Vaughn's Miss Black & Gold Journey
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Madison R. Vaughn, and I am a second-year Civil Engineering major at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I am excited to share that I will be competing in the Miss Black & Gold Pageant, hosted by the Nu Mu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
As a civil engineering student, I’m not only focused on building physical structures but also on breaking down barriers and paving the way for Black women in STEM fields. Just as I aim to build bridges in my studies, I also hope to connect communities and bring attention to critical healthcare issues that affect women.
My platform is centered on expanding access to menstrual care and education, while also addressing the broader healthcare disparities that disproportionately impact Black women. These include higher rates of heart disease, diabetes, reproductive health challenges, and maternal mortality. It’s vital to support organizations working to change this reality, advocating for equitable care.
I am raising funds where the proceeds will be donated to the Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI). This organization is committed to improving the health and wellness of Black women and girls by addressing healthcare inequities. By contributing, you are helping to support both my platform and this important cause.
Every donation counts, and if you are unable to contribute, sharing this campaign would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for helping me make a difference!
