Madalynn entered this world already facing more challenges than most of us will encounter in a lifetime. She was born with multiple medical complications and is currently receiving specialized care in the Twin Cities, where her days are filled with monitoring, evaluations, and difficult decisions about possible surgeries and next steps.

Right now, life is being lived one day—sometimes one hour—at a time.

Her parents, Evan and Sara, have put everything else on hold to be by their daughter’s side. They are traveling back and forth to the Twin Cities, staying in hotels, spending long days and nights at the hospital, and focusing all of their energy on Madalynn’s care and figuring out what the future holds for her.

Because of this, they are unable to work during this time. Medical decisions, emotional strain, travel costs, lodging, meals, and time away from home are adding up quickly—on top of the unimaginable stress of watching their newborn fight so hard.
