Since 1982, Mackinac Island Honor Troop 168 has been a cornerstone of leadership and service, sending Scouts to Mackinac Island each summer to serve as the Governor’s Honor Guard. These young individuals take on significant responsibilities, including raising and lowering flags, performing guide duties, and completing service projects at the state’s historical sites. Through these experiences, Scouts develop critical leadership skills, learning the values of duty, respect, and honor, which prepare them to become active, engaged members of society.
Your support will help ensure that Mackinac Island Honor Troop 168 can continue its mission of fostering leadership and service among Scouts. Donations will fund essential program costs, including travel to Mackinac Island, supplies for service projects, and resources to enhance the Scouts’ experiences. By contributing, you’re helping to preserve a tradition that has shaped generations of Scouts since its inception, empowering them to grow into responsible leaders who make a difference in their communities.
Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting the Troop’s activities, ensuring that future Scouts can continue to benefit from this transformative program. Your generosity will help maintain the legacy of Mackinac Island Honor Troop 168, allowing more young people to learn the values of service, leadership, and community engagement. Please consider donating today to help us keep this meaningful tradition alive for years to come.
