Hi, my name is Macauley Fuld, I am a Life Scout with Troop 1001 in Richardson, Texas and I am fundraising for my Eagle Scout project. For my project, I am building native bee habitats for the Prairie Creek Wetlands near UTD, which is a 30 acre undeveloped section of Blackland Prairie, the original biome of the DFW area. The wetlands are open to the public, have walking trails throughout, and are being restored as part of a project of the Texas Master Naturalists.

 

These habitats will be used to promote a larger native bee population in the area, as well as educate the public on the native bees of Texas and their importance. I need to raise funds to purchase materials such as wood, screws, and refreshments for volunteers, as well as any tools that cannot be borrowed. Any amount helps and I am willing to share my full proposal with anyone who wants to look at it. Any unused funds will be donated back to the Texas Master Naturalists for ongoing restoration efforts.
