I am organizing a GoFundMe for an orphanage in Uganda, Wasiko District, near Kampala. Luyimbazi Johnson is the organizer of this orphanage. He is the main caregiver at this orphanage, with the occasional help from some friends.

Luyimbazi’s mission is to transform lives. He is not only committed to helping the orphans in his care, he is also dedicated to helping the less fortunate in his community. He houses and takes care of 23 children. He also helps to feed the community; around 15 extra people visit him for food.

Luyimbazi received a donation for an Easter party for his children and selflessly decided to buy food for families in his community also.

Luyimbazi strives to provide a stable, safe living environment, 3 meals a day, education, and emotional and spiritual support for the children. This is difficult to accomplish due to lack of funding.

Luyimbazi struggles most with providing the necessities, like proper meals, clothes, medication, and education to the children.

An end goal for Luyimbazi and the children is to be able to buy a plot of land to build a safe home on, where they can also grow their own food. Before this goal can be met, the basic needs must also be met: FOOD, WATER, SHELTER, and SAFETY.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will be helpful for Luyimbazi, the children, and his community. A small amount of USD can go a long way in Ugandan shillings. Help these children go to bed with a full stomach and a happy mind.
