UPDATE!!

Dear friends and family,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your incredible support during this difficult time. Your generous donations and willingness to share our campaign have meant more to us than words can express.
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you my mother has been deported to Mexico. She is devastated to have left behind the life she built here and to be returning to a place with nothing.
We are now focused on helping her establish a new beginning. If you can, please consider continuing to donate to this fundraiser to help her rebuild her life. Any contribution is deeply appreciated and will go toward helping her get back on her feet.
Thank you again for your compassion and for standing with our family.

Mateo 5:39-42
39 Pero yo os digo: No resistáis al que es malo; antes, a cualquiera que te hiera en la mejilla derecha, vuélvele también la otra;
40 y al que quiera ponerte a pleito y quitarte la túnica, déjale también la capa;

Many people know my mother as Lupita, Lupe, Mari, or Maria. She recently went into remission after fighting stage 4 breast cancer for over a year and a half. Throughout the entirety of her chemotherapy treatment, she worked and tried to stay strong as much as she could. She worked to provide for her three children and husband, my father. My father recently went into kidney failure in February of this year and has been unable to work due to the fact that he has dialysis treatments three days a week, and somebody has to stay home to watch my daughter and put his youngest daughter to school.

She has been an amazing mother and mentor, also the sole provider for her family. She’s the kind of person to take the shirt off her back to give to someone in need. If anyone needed advice, she was there; if anyone needed a helping hand, she was there; if anyone needed a place to stay, she was there. She believed no matter where you came from, where you are, or your financial situation, you deserve a second chance because in the Bible it is written Matthew 19:19 'Honor your father and your mother, and, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself!"
Matthew 5:39-42
39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.
41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. Love Your Enemies

My mother is an immigrant. My family and I are making this GoFundMe to help pay for her bond and immigration lawyer. Due to the severity of the charges against her, she has entered the deportable category and has an ICE hold. The jail and/or the immigration system does not have access to the resources to continue with my mother's check-ups as she had recently found another mass in her breast. She is also due for a bilateral diagnostic mammogram in July. Our hope as her family is to bail our mother out and have the funds to pay for her immigration lawyer so she’s not lost in the immigration system. If you know my mother, you know she would never harm anyone, especially not her children.

As her eldest daughter, I am trying to provide as much as I can for my mother in jail, my father, and my younger siblings, but I am also a single mother with no help from my daughter’s father whatsoever. Between rent, bills, and medical expenses, we are barely staying afloat. We are asking you to give whatever’s in your heart to give, even if it’s just a dollar. If you don’t have it within your means to help financially, we ask you to keep us in your prayers. May God bless you.
