Hello everyone, approx a month ago my little sister Lupita called me telling me she had lost some of her vision on her left eye. It is now fully gone. She went to an optometrist who referred her to and Opthamologist in Billings Clinic as an emergent consult . The Ophthalmologist from Billings Clinic diagnosed it as Central Serous Chorioretinopathy CSCR. It is an eye condition where fluid accumulates under the retina kind of like a blister causing vision problems.

She went to see the eye specialist multiple times as her vision in the left eye was getting worse. They dilated her eye to see if this would help and it did not. She can’t take any medication because she is 21 weeks pregnant and super high risk. Every time she goes into see the ophthalmologist she receives a new diagnosis. A few weeks ago she began to loose vision on her right eye, she was sent to the ER thinking it was preeclampsia, but she tested negative for this, her MRI showed no abnormalities. We went to multiple specialist in Billings and no specialist can figure out what is causing her vision loss, nor where fluid leakage is coming from. Her OB and another Billings specialist referred her to an eye specialist in Salt Lake City, to help figure what is going on and if we could save her vision. She will be going to her appointment August 25th.

Lupita is nurse in the Cardiology Dept in St. Vincent's, she has always worked very hard and multiple jobs to be successful in life. She isn't one to ask for help.

So I decided to reach out to our little community for help to cover medical expenses in Salt Lake City. She is unable to work, drive, or pretty much do anything until this is resolved and we are very helpful it will be. I am asking for donation or to share her story or to simply pray for her and her family through this unexpected medical emergency. If anyone has gone through this please share, the Billings specialist are unsure of what it causing fluid build up and we just want answers. Thank you everyone!
