Luna has been doing well since transplant, just having some troubles tolerating her feeds. She previously was being fed through a NG tube (nasogastric tube) that went directly into her stomach, and now she has a NJ tube (nasojejunal tube) that goes past her stomach into her intestines. Luna will have to undergo yet another surgery to place a G-tube that goes through the abdominal wall into the stomach so she no longer has to continue to feed through the tube down her little nose. But she truly needs something called a GJ tube but she is still too small for that just yet. Luna cannot be discharged home because if were to pull out her NJ tube she would have to go to the nearest hospital to have it placed again. So instead she will be discharged to the Ronald McDonald house until she is big enough for a GJ tube which will hopefully allow her to go home. With all that being said, Marty is taking as much time off as he can to stay with her before she can go home.
