Hi I'm Carrie but some may know me as Sprite. I am here trying to help my friend Luna Bear as she goes through one of the hardest transitions in life, loosing your parent.

Luna and I have been close friends since about 2003. Anyone who knows her knows how giving she is to others and her community. But now she needs our help.

Her mother pass away this morning. Luna has been caring for her since 2019/2020 when she left the life she loved in California to move to small town MO to care for her aging step-father and mother. Unfortunately, her step-father passed in 2020 and she has been the sole caregiver to her mother with multiple health issues since then. The decision to place her mother into hospice came after weeks of multiple hospital stays and just hours before her mother passed away.

In the coming weeks Luna will need help with costs to creamate her mother, navigate getting affairs in order for both herself and her mother, moving/relocation expenses to allow Luna to leave small town conservative MO, and any unexpected expenses that may pop up along the way.

I also know that taking care of a loved one in their last days takes a toll on the caregiver. Luna is going to need our support to help her care for herself and know she is not alone as she travels this new path in her life.
