Support Lula D. to the 2024 Democratic National Convention

Hi all,

I’m Lula Dualeh and I have the great fortune of attending the National Democratic Convention again this year to be a part of a monumental moment in history. Eight years ago, I was elected to attend the DNC in Philly as a Bernie Sanders delegate from North Carolina. I don’t have to tell you how much has changed in less than a decade. One thing that hasn’t changed is that I’m still ready to be of service to my community.

Just this year alone, I’ve been able to organize the first ever Muslim Caucus under the North Carolina Democratic Party. I was also elected to represent the 14th Congressional District Resolutions and Platform Committee to help assure we can uphold our Democratic values throughout the state. Trust that this wasn’t something done overnight but because of community members and supporters like yourself, we were able to get it done. Although it might not seem like it, progress is happening right before our eyes. Let me say, this work isn’t sexy and incredibly tedious but necessary in order to see the future we all want not only for ourselves but future generations to come.

I’m reaching out to you today because I have another incredible opportunity to represent North Carolina and the NC Muslim Caucus at the 2024 DNC this year. Unfortunately, it isn’t cheap to attend so I’m asking for your help to attend.

The Democratic Party isn’t covering the cost of each individual attending so that cost will come out of pocket. Everything in life favors the prepared and the preparation for this opportunity is $3150 to continue doing this work. That cost will cover my hotel stay for 5 days, food accommodations, ground transportation once on the ground in Chicago, and other democratic events. That price also includes travel to Chicago and payment to attend certain high ticketed events on the ground.
