Hi! We are Lukas Fritsch and Ben Goldberg, two seniors at Lakeside High School. We both have experienced cancer in our own families and understand the hard, lasting impact it has on patients and families. In order to help others and bring a smile to the faces of those who need it most, we have launched the Battle Bag Initiative. This initiative is dedicated to comforting and supporting individuals and families battling cancer. Through thoughtful, individually assembled care bags filled with essentials like blankets, fuzzy socks, snacks, and personal hygiene items, this project offers a small yet meaningful reminder that no one fights alone. We know firsthand how much it means to feel the love and support of those around you during difficult times, and we hope to pass the same warmth forward. By fostering community support and raising awareness for all types of cancer, the initiative seeks to make a visible difference in the lives of patients and their families, offering a moment of comfort in their journey.
