Luisa and her teenage daughter, Fergie, have lived in Montana for years, working hard in construction and building homes for families in their community. They are the kind of neighbors who help create the American dream with their own two hands — yet they are denied safety and stability for themselves.

Recently, they were detained after stopping to check on a car accident. They did nothing wrong, but instead of receiving compassion, they were taken into immigration custody and moved between facilities. Conditions inside are harsh and dehumanizing.

This fund will provide for their immediate needs while in detention — basic items like phone cards, toiletries, and commissary — and support their family as they fight their case.
