Fundraiser for Lucy Varnava’s Post-Stroke Recovery

£2,474 raised of
66 donations
Hi, my name is Margarita Bagrova, and I’m fundraising for Lucy Varnava, who has recently found herself going through a very difficult time after suffering a stroke.
Many of you know and love Lucy — a kind, thoughtful, and creative woman who’s always been there to share a cultural gem, a beautiful moment, or a favourite recipe.
She’s a devoted mother, raising her son with strength and warmth. And she has given so much to this community — her time, her knowledge, her taste, and her generous spirit.
Right now, Lucy is recovering, but the road ahead is long and uncertain. She’s not yet able to return to her usual rhythm, and this is when our support — emotional, practical, and financial — can really make a difference.
Every donation is a way of saying: “What you gave to us, we now give back to you.”
Every little bit helps — you know this :-)
Let’s come together and show Lucy she’s not alone.
Please support if you can. And please share.

Thank you!
For the note
The NHS has observed a rise in strokes and transient ischaemic attacks (TIAs) among women aged 40 and over. Although many women in this age group recover more quickly, the risk of a second, more serious event is higher without proper care and lifestyle management. Taking preventive steps is essential to reduce the chance of recurrence and protect long-term health.
