Hi, my name is Lucas Pipkins and I'm working on my Eagle Scout project in Troop 301. My project involves demolishing an existing grill (pictured) that is no longer usable and rebuilding a new Santa Maria style-grill beside St. Michael's Chapel at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Alameda de las Pulgas in Belmont, CA. The project will greatly benefit the surrounding community of Belmont & San Carlos. The project includes welding, masonry, electrical, plumbing, making acceptable drawings to support getting the building permit in order to get this grill back into usable condition.
I've had some generous donations so far, including from the Plumber & Pipefitters Union, UA Local 467 in Burlingame and the Peninsula Debris Box Service, but I am trying to raise $5000 through community donations to help cover the remainder of the expenses including the concrete masonry units (CMU's), the sandstone counter, the mortar, the firebrick for the inside of the grill, the firebrick mortar, the building permit for the project, the sink, new faucets and the gear system for the grill grate.
Any contributions you can make to support my Eagle Scout project is greatly appreciated.
Your in Scouting,
Lucas Pipkins
