My name is Lucas Schnick Baker and I am a Life Scout working on my Eagle project and rank.

My project is to create 2 STEAM carts for the aftercare program at Western Pines Middle School. I am an aspiring engineer and I got interested in engineering during my time as a member of SECME (Science, Engineering, Communications, Mathematics, Enrichment) in middle school. The goal is to get nonmembers interested in the activities conducted in SECME so more students join.

The carts will have:

Plastic liter bottles and a stomp launcher for water bottle rockets, Popsicle sticks and glue for bridges, banners and markers for banner design, and mousetraps with small wheels for cars.

The carts will be built with wood and will have wheels added for easy transport.
