Hola! We are raising funds to support Los Cogelones’ comeback to the U.S.!

Los Cogelones is a band of five brothers from Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, México with a deep connection to their roots and a unique blend of music that bridges the past and the present. Their songs are inspired by ancestral traditions, community, a vision of unity, and their artistic influences are linked to pre-cuauhtémic instruments and the ancestral philosophy of their lands. They are self-taught musicians who have worked hard to bring their music to the world, and now they’re trying to return to the United States to share their message with us once more.

During their last visit to the U.S., their time and visas were unexpectedly cut short due to circumstances beyond their control. This year, they’re ready to reconnect with fans and new audiences, but need our help to make it happen.

The goal is to obtain their visas as quickly as possible through a visa service that can help get them expedited. It is roughly $1K per member so our goal is to raise $5-6K. Applying for and securing visas is an expensive, tedious, and complicated process, especially with the increasingly tense political climate, it is now more crucial than ever to bring artists like them to share their message and love with our marginalized/bipoc communities. Your support will go directly toward helping Los Cogelones cover their visa costs so they can focus on what they do best—making and performing their music. This fall, they are playing Yollotl: Encuentro del Corazón in Austin, Tejas, and are also planning a US tour around this event.

¡Hola! Estamos recaudando fondos para apoyar el regreso de Los Cogelones a los Estados Unidos.

Los Cogelones es una banda de cinco hermanos de Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, México, con una profunda conexión con sus raíces y una mezcla única de música que une el pasado y el presente. Sus canciones están inspiradas en tradiciones ancestrales, comunidad, una visión de unidad, y sus influencias artísticas están vinculadas a instrumentos pre-cuauhtémicos y la filosofía ancestral de sus tierras. Son músicos autodidactas que han trabajado duro para llevar su música al mundo, y ahora están tratando de regresar a los Estados Unidos para compartir su mensaje con nosotros una vez más.

Durante su última visita a los Estados Unidos, su tiempo y visas se vieron inesperadamente truncados debido a circunstancias fuera de su control. Este año, están listos para reconectarse con sus fans y nuevas audiencias, pero necesitan nuestra ayuda para lograrlo.

Solicitar y obtener visas es un proceso costoso, tedioso y complicado, especialmente con el clima político cada vez más tenso en eu. Ahora es más crucial que nunca traer artistas como ellos para compartir su mensaje y amor con nuestras comunidades y paisanos viviendo en el gabacho. Tu apoyo se destinará directamente a ayudar a Los Cogelones a cubrir los costos de sus visas para que puedan concentrarse en lo que mejor saben hacer: crear e interpretar su música. Este otoño, tocarán en Yollotl: Encuentro del Corazón en Austin, Texas, y también están planeando una gira por los EE. UU. en torno a este evento.
