My name is Lammone, and I am Lor’s wife. I never imagined I would be writing something like this.
On Saturday, January 31st, ICE came to our home after sending Lor a message about a routine check-in. Lor did everything right. He cooperated, stayed calm, and provided every document they asked for. Despite this, he was taken from our home in front of me and our three children - barefoot in the cold, right from our doorway. Our children watched their father be taken away, and that moment will stay with us forever.
Lor is an incredible husband, a devoted father, and a loving son, brother, cousin, and friend. He is the heart of our family. The one who brings laughter, comfort, and strength. Our home feels empty without him.
As if this heartbreak wasn’t enough, I lost my mother just days earlier on Tuesday, January 20th. Now I am grieving both my mom and my husband at the same time. I feel shattered, overwhelmed, and scared. Some days it feels impossible to get out of bed. I am trying to stay strong for my children, but the weight of this pain is unbearable.
I am asking for help to keep our family afloat. To keep a roof over our heads, to support Lor, and to survive this unimaginable chapter of our lives. Any donation, no matter the size, will help us during this crisis. If you cannot donate, please share our story, keep us in your prayers, or leave kind words and memories of Lor. Your love and support truly mean more than you know.
From the depths of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for standing with our family in our darkest moment.
Please stay safe, and hold your loved ones close.
