My three children (ages 8, 5, and 3) moved into a safe shelter on January 15th 2025 to escape an abusive husband/father with only $150 to our names.

My abuser has made it very clear for nearly ten years that if I were to leave him he will do his best to destroy my life in every way possible using his family's multi-million fortune to hire the best lawyers. I tried to leave almost two years ago but I didn't have the support or funds to fight back, I was being attacked from all angles and felt defeated so I decided it would be better to suffer his abuse at home instead. Worst decision of my life, the abuse only gets worse, never better. Well, enough is enough, and fighting back has become my only option to ensure me and the children's safety and well-being.

As it stands right now, I am only eligible for free legal advice but no legal representation will be free; I can hire the most affordable lawyer at $75/hr and about $3000 up front, and I can choose a limited scope lawyer to lower the cost as much as possible and choose to represent myself in some areas.

Anything donated to our GoFundMe account will help me to retain a lawyer who can help me fight back in court, keep full custody of my children, and ensure the best possible outcome to keep the children and I safe from harm. Without help from a lawyer I will be forced to represent myself in court, without any knowledge of the legal system, going up against the most skilled lawyers in the country hired by my abuser. Representing myself is extremely time consuming and with three small children in my custody I have limited time to dedicate to filling out forms and researching the legal system.
