Support Local Small Businesses in Los Angeles

My name is Scott Jaul.  I was inspired by Dave Portnoy, from Barstool Sports.  If you know me then you'll know that this is so far outside my comfort zone, but I was touched by watching all of Dave's videos.  So much so, that I thought, "I have to try and do something to help!".   So many are in need of just the basics, and it's not just the businesses themselves that are hurting, it's everyone that works there, and all of the daily customers, each and every day. 

I work in Encino (San Fernando Valley) on Ventura Blvd.  If you're not aware, it's one of the most travelled and busiest boulevards in all of Los Angeles.  Ventura Blvd has hundreds, if not thousands of local/small businesses that I am sure are hurting just like the ones we've seen from the videos that Barstool Sports has put out in the past day.  

I am planning/hoping to raise upwards of $10,000, and from that I will take $5,000 and hand deliver it to "2" local/small businesses, ones that have been opened for decades, and ones that may have just opened right as the pandemic hit  in March.  I will video the entire thing, I want everyone to see the pure "joy" & "happiness" this will bring to all involved.  

And, OF COURSE,  all monies (down to the last cent) will go to each one of the local/small businesses selected.  

I have not chosen the "2" places yet, as I was literally stopped in my tracks when I  watched Dave do his thing.  I realized right away, "I need to do something ASAP".  I  am going to ask for the ones that donate, to PLEASE help give me insight as to who may need it most (sticking to Ventura Blvd) and, I will also do a lot of the digging in myself.  I will start calling and looking up different local/small businesses online right away.

I hope to hit this goal quickly!   I want nothing more than to be able to show you all just how happy we can truly make these different owners, employees, and all affected by this herendous situation.  Imagine the feeling to be able to provide some sort of relief while they are all struggling so badly, and what almost seems like silently & alone; the govt has failed them.
