Support Fresh Produce for Washington Food Banks in Crisis

Donation protected
44 million Americans are food insecure, covering every Congressional district and Washington, DC, according to Feeding America. In Washington State food insecurity has spiked post-COVID-19.

Inflation, unemployment, and other economic hardships have forced millions of families who don't qualify for Federal Food Assistance programs to turn to food banks but these programs are currently being defunded.

Recent cuts in federal funding have seen the Washington State Department of Agriculture lose $4.7 million in food assistance. This is part of the Trump Administration budget cuts targeting feeding programs for vulnerable people nationally.

11% of Washington State population rely on Supplemental Nutritional Program (SNAP). That's 930,000 persons. For households with children it's almost 20% and rising.

Jacobs Agro has supplied 17 food banks in Jefferson, Pierce, and King County since 2020 with over 360,000 pounds of fresh produce. In collaboration with 9 other farmers , we are expanding our efforts in this time of great need.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 to produce an additional 25,000 pounds of fresh produce through fall 2026.

Every dollar counts! Please donate and/or share in your network.
