Hello, my name is Nicole Pacich and I’m Lizzy’s older sister. On August 5, 2025, I took Lizzy to the hospital for shortness of breath and pain. After examination and bloodwork, it was apparent that Lizzy was in a life-threatening situation. She was transferred to Morristown Memorial Hospital for a life-saving procedure. While undergoing daily plasmapheresis, she wasn’t getting better. Every day she was getting worse. The doctors knew there was something going on with her bone marrow and decided to do a bone marrow biopsy. She stayed in the hospital receiving life-saving daily blood and platelet transfusions until September 10, 2025, when we got the bone marrow results back… Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer of the Bone Marrow. It’s a very rare presentation which they called once in a million. Lizzy never had a lump or tumor in her breasts. The doctors said even though this diagnosis is terminal, it can be treatable to give Lizzy time with friends and family and live as normal a life as possible.
Lizzy is still requiring transfusions to stabilize her blood but the chemotherapy is showing slow signs of improvement. So we felt like this was a good time to ask friends and family to help Lizzy. Lizzy is single and the head of her household. She is no longer able to work to provide for herself. As with any illness or tragedy, the world and creditors keep on turning. We are hoping that friends and family can donate whatever they can to help ease the hard times ahead and allow Lizzy to focus on treatments. Any amount helps. From the bottom of our hearts, we truly appreciate whatever you can give.
