Description: Liza has been a huge part of my recovery journey. We met in jail and, together, we entered a drug court program that helped us both get clean. After graduating, we stayed sober and became neighbors, supporting each other through every challenge. Liza’s strength and determination have always inspired me, especially as she works so hard to be the best mother she can be for her son.
Now, Liza is facing a big transition. She’s moving out of state to be closer to her family, which will give her more support for her recovery and for her son. As a single parent, this move is a huge step, but it’s one she’s making to build a better future for both of them. Liza was counting on her tax refund to help with the move, but it was offset due to an old debt from being overpaid unemployment during COVID-19. This unexpected setback has left her without the funds she was relying on to make this important transition.
The funds raised will help her with changing jobs, paying for diapers and food, and making sure she can be self-sufficient while she settles into her new life. Thank you so much from the bottom of her heart and mine as well for considering a donation. I’ve watched my friend work so hard to become the wonderful mother she is. The strength and courage she shows every day to give her son a better life inspires me, and any support means the world to us.
