Dear Friends,
I’m so grateful to each of you for taking the time to read this and for being a part of my journey. Your support means more to me than words can express—thank you for your care, your creativity, and your belief in what I’m about to share.
The Journey
It’s hard to believe that it’s been thirteen years since I recorded The Colossal Joy Project—so much has happened in that time. I took a step away from music to pursue my calling as a helper, returning to school to earn my Master’s in Social Work, becoming licensed, and working in community mental health. Along the way, I navigated heavy personal challenges, including loss and health struggles, while also working alongside incredible people who have shown me the true meaning of resilience. I moved multiple times, found love again, and experienced so much change.
Fast forward to 2025, and I find myself reflecting on how the world has become a heavy place for many of us. I’ve realized that the balance I once nurtured and encouraged in others has slowly disappeared from my own life. Yet, as I’ve always known, the path to happiness, peace, and joy lies in the creative process. It’s through creating and sharing—whether it’s music, art, or any form of self-expression—that we truly find our way.
The Realization
In the past year, I’ve come to a powerful realization: I don’t feel like myself unless I’m creating music and art. At my core, this is who I am, and without it, I lose touch with my truest self. Music has been an incredible gift in my life, and I’ve learned that this journey to “be a helper” has, in fact, brought me back home—to my art, my creativity, and my music. It’s time to share it with you all again.
The Project
I’m beyond excited to announce that I am working on a new EP titled Marguerite, which will feature five original songs. This project has been brewing for years, and it’s a dream I’ve carried since my middle school days of writing songs.
Marguerite is a deeply personal project. The title is a tribute to both of my grandmothers—Margaret and Pearl—and a reflection of my journey to connect with my feminine energy and creative spirit. I chose “Marguerite” as a nod to the French form of Margaret, which also means “pearl”—a beautiful symbol of love and connection across generations.
This EP will feature collaborations with four incredible local musicians:
Derek DiCenzo (guitar)
Molly Pauken (bass)
Erik Augis (keyboard)
Reggie Jackson (drums)
The plan is to do the recording at JSR Recording in Columbus, OH, ensuring the highest quality sound that reflects our collective energy and passion. The recording process will kick off sometime this spring/summer with rehearsals and sessions through the summer/fall. Afterward, we’ll move into mixing, mastering, and final touches—aiming to have the EP available by the holiday season or at the latest, early in the new year.
With Your Help
Here’s where I humbly ask for your support. While recording an EP is less costly than a full LP, it still requires significant resources. Any contributions you can make will help cover the production costs, from studio time and paying musicians, to mixing, mastering, artwork, and marketing.
I truly appreciate any amount you can contribute—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this campaign with others who might resonate with the project. Every little bit helps bring this dream to life.
Thank you so much for being a part of my journey. Your light, your energy, and your support mean the world to me. Let’s share in this creative process and make something beautiful together!
With deep gratitude,
