On the morning of August 12th, a devastating house fire broke out at my friend Lisa A. Milewski's home on Dennis Drive in New Britain. According to officials, the fire started in the breezeway just after 4 a.m. and quickly spread, sending her and another person to the hospital with injuries. Tragically, her beloved dog...her whole world did not make it out of the home. She learned about her dog’s passing through the news, adding an unimaginable layer of heartbreak to an already traumatic morning.

She has just been released from the hospital and is now facing the reality of losing nearly everything: her home, her belongings, and her sweet dog who was her constant companion. She is overwhelmed, grieving, and trying to piece together what comes next after such a sudden and life‑altering loss.

I’m creating this fundraiser to help her with immediate needs...clothing, essentials, temporary housing, and the first steps toward rebuilding her life. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a real difference as she tries to recover physically, emotionally, and financially from this tragedy.
