Bill Kelly, age 64, devoted husband and father of four sons, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025 from metastatic spinal carcinomas. He endured a 23 year span of chronic illness and associated injuries. Bill's wife, Lisa, had been by his side since 2002 when Bill was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). This diagnosis included associated strokes, including a hemorrhagic stroke/brain bleed surgery in August 2002. Bill also had 2 bone marrow transplants for AML in 2003 & 2004. This AML dx also resulted in Bill having a seizure condition/epilepsy for which he took medication until his untimely death. In 2002, with four sons, ages 2, 4, 6, & 8, Lisa needed to be Bill's full time caregiver while continuing to be a stay at home mom to all 4 boys through the years. Bill was a valiant survivor of AML, however; he was unable to ever return to full time employment since 2002. Lisa went back to school in 2007 to earn a nursing degree. However, Lisa was also struck with illness, being diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2009. Finances continued to be challenging, however; Bill was able to get disability pay plus earn a small income with different jobs. Lisa managed to graduate from nursing school in 2010 and was able to return to full time work. Bill was eventually unable to afford the rising costs of life insurance so there will be zero funds for Lisa. Also, Bill's disability pay will now stop completely. Bill and Lisa were unable to afford to have any extra funds saved and all retirement IRA/savings accounts had to be exhausted in the last several years. In addition, Lisa still needed to often take time off of work throughout these past many years to care for Bill with illness issues, occasional falls and injuries. Lisa currently works as a 1:1 Nurse/Caregiver to a young special needs child at an elementary school. She not only wants to but needs to return to her full time position and desires to do so as she loves her job! However, that means no funds will be available for Lisa to earn from Bill's social security and again, no savings, no life insurance funds.
Please consider any donation to help with funeral costs, household bills including mortgage, utilites, living expenses plus any medical needs.
Thank you so much. God Bless.
