Supporting My Mom After the Loss of the Love of Her Life

Hello everyone, my name is Africa, and this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to share.

My mother, Willeasia (most of you know her as Lisa), has always been a woman of faith and strength. For as long as I can remember, she raised me in the church, often on her own, and taught me to lean on the Lord in every season.

Over 30 years ago, my mom met the man who would change her life forever, my dad, William Hampton, inside a Christian bookstore. What began as a simple conversation rooted in their love for Christ blossomed into a beautiful marriage. From that moment until the day my dad took his last breath, they were inseparable.

My mom prayed faithfully over him, cared for him daily, and stood by his side through every moment of his final months. Her faith never wavered, and she believed for a miracle. But God had a different plan.

Now, after losing the love of her life, my mother is facing not only unimaginable grief but also financial hardship. My dad handled everything, and sadly, when he passed, she was left unprepared for a life without him. He only had life insurance for a short time, just four months, leaving little behind to support her in this new reality.

I have created this GoFundMe to support my mother as she grieves and learns to navigate life without the love she has ever known. Every prayer, share, and donation means the world to us.
