My name is Linsey, and I’m reaching out for support as I work to help my loved one through her immigration process. For over 23 years, she has been a hardworking woman here in the U.S., raising three kids and making sure they never missed a meal, a day of school, or any other basic need. Everyone who meets her immediately feels her warmth and comfort. Beyond raising her own children, she’s spent much of her life caring for others, working as a house cleaner and nanny, helping raise kids who aren’t her own and providing them with the same love and compassion she gives her family, making sure families come home to a clean space and having one less thing to worry about always. The families she’s worked for, she treats and values like her own, always deeply grateful that they’ve trusted her and provided her with work that helps support her family. Through it all, she’s taught her kids the importance of self-love and respect while keeping them safe and grounded. Now, as she faces the costly and complicated steps to secure her legal status, I want to do everything I can to support her. One of her biggest wishes is to be able to visit her own mother in her home country before it’s too late, and to finally live without the constant fear of being ripped away from her three kids.
