Support Linda in Honoring Mr. Del Corso's Legacy
Donation protected
It has been 3 months since the passing of Mr. Del Corso. I know how loved and supported Linda, Crystal, and Leeza felt in the last few months. But as with everyone who goes through the passing of a loved one, the dust settles, the world goes on, and now Linda is left to figure out what life will be like for her moving forward, without her best friend, soulmate, prayer partner-her Guy.
For those of you who were close to Mr. Del Corso and as Linda will remind you, “he was old school.” He liked his pasta and meatballs on Sunday, sitting at the head of the table, he took pride in being able to provide for his family, especially Linda, because that’s what a man is supposed to do. Mr. Del Corso was sole breadwinner but with years of medical expenses, since his passing Linda has been forced to consider different options including selling their home. The challenge here is Linda comes as a package deal, with Guys most prized possessions and No, I’m not referring to his gym equipment, I’m referring to his 3 dogs.
Knowing Mr. Del Corso is knowing that there is only one thing he loved more than Linda, Crystal, Leeza, his grandchildren, son in laws, dogs and bodybuilding, and that was is Faith. The Bible has a lot to say about stewardship. Christians are called to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted to His people; to use His resources wisely and for His glory. When that happens, God promises to bless us with more. Mr. Del Corso did just that. He used his influence and passion for bodybuilding to make a life long career, but more importantly he used it as way to spread the word of the Lord. Based on all the stories I have read in the last 3 months as well as his daily Coffee with Coach posts, it is clear he fulfilled his stewardship while here on Earth.
And now we are asking those who are able
to do the same. While Linda has accepted the idea that selling their home is one she will eventually have to make, it’s not one she should be forced to make right now. Now is the time for her to grieve, recall the memories they made together in their home, and create new ones in his absence. His daughters made the promise that they will make sure Linda is taken care of the way their dad would. By raising funds, they will be able to do just that and give the family time to grieve and plan for the future. With that, I leave you with a post from Mr. Del Corso On June 21,
